Program Mission Statement: 

Through various activities Aunt Hattie’s Place provides an environment that cultivates leadership skills in young men.  Our purpose is to challenge our youth to:

1)Equip themselves to perform at their highest educational level
2)Establish healthy relationships necessary for development
3)Know their cultural history and its relevance
4)Encourage character education (moral values)
5)Develop strategies to achieve personal goals
6)Apply critical thought to agents that influence their self-perception
7)Pursue knowledge and experiences that will enhance the maturation process encourage            continuous learning
8)Learn to value strong work-ethics and perseverance
9)Possess emotional and mental health, and the skills needed for self-evaluation
10)     Express their creative genius and develop critical thinking skills to maximize cognitive                 ability

Darius: (13) is in the 8th grade, is extremely talented; he loves to sing and dance and wants eventually to
perform in a major  Broadway production in the future

Maurice (14) is a 9th grade student; his hobbies are reading, video games, art and he wants to become a
commercial artist. He also loves to watch funny movies and collects sports cards.

Donnie (14) is a sweet young man who is in the 9th grade, loves to exchange ideas with others and engages
in lots of sports. He loves to read adventure stories and the Harry Potter series.

John: (15) a 9th grader, is kind hearted, loves sports and enjoys learning about his heritage- he wants to become
a motivational speaker.

Billy: (15) an 8th grader who loves quiets times, reading and watching mysteries

Jerome:(15) another 9th grader with an eye for electronics; he is very polite and is a born leader.

Markus:  (16) is a 10th grader.  He enjoys reading biographies and playing basketball. He also enjoys reading books about African American leaders. He is a young man who has great leadership potential and wants to become a lawyer.

Jeremy:  (16) is our resident "gentleman" who dreams of someday becoming a Pro football player; he loves to read Science Fiction.

Antonio:  (16) is an energetic and ambitious young man who loves sports and enjoys school.

Ronnie:  (17) is also a loveable young man who desires to become a minister.


Luther:   (18) is a 12th grader with high aspirations to run his own business.

Orlando:  (18) is a 12th Grader who loves basketball and would like to be a model.

Boima: (19) has graduated from High School, attends college and  wants to work for the New York Stock Exchange.

Devin:  (20) ** a former AHP " Superkid", he is currently enrolled in college.
