Because of the high demand for long-term placements, AHP expanded its program to provide a home for a total of eighteen children. This expansion increased our age range- to 19 years old--to allow our residents to remain at AHP and continue their progress. In addition, AHP has established an Endowed Scholarship Fund at Coppin State University to enable its residents to attend college on a scholarship. In essence, AHP is committed to raising children to become positive and productive members of society with sound values and morals.

In essence, a solid and effective program, innovative management, and established relationships have allowed AHP to quickly obtain residents and retain the children. The long-term nature of this placement is conducive to establishing a family-like environment and relationship with the children. Once this relationship and trust is established the children are able to flourish and reach their fullest potential.

AHP believes that "It Takes a Village To Raise A Child" and has created the Village Support team comprised of various professionals, corporate, and community leaders, to advise and assist the organization when necessary.
